Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

RunTracker is built so that your data stays yours. The developer does not collect, receive, sell or share any of your personal data.

What RunTracker stores, and where

Everything you record — activities with their routes, photos, notes and ratings, goals, training plans, and your profile (name, height, weight, birth year and sex, if you enter them) — is stored on your iPhone.

If you turn on iCloud Backup, a copy is stored in your private iCloud database, using the iCloud account signed in on your iPhone. Only you can read it; the developer has no access to it. You can turn backup off at any time in Profile → Settings → iCloud Backup.

If you connect Apple Health, RunTracker saves your workouts (with distance, duration, calories and route) to the Health app, and reads only the workouts it saved itself, so it never saves one twice. RunTracker does not read any other health data. Health data is never used for advertising and never shared.

Permissions

Each permission is optional; features that don't need it keep working.

Sign in with Apple

RunTracker has no accounts. Versions up to 1.0.1 offered an optional Sign in with Apple, which kept your Apple-provided name, and email address if you chose to share it, on your iPhone to show on your profile; they were never sent to the developer. Version 1.0.2 removed it: when you update, RunTracker deletes the name, email and Apple user ID it kept, and a name your profile showed stays as your profile name. To also remove RunTracker from the apps that use Sign in with Apple, open the Settings app → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.

Analytics, tracking and advertising

RunTracker contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking code, and does not track you across apps or websites.

Maps

Maps are provided by Apple Maps. Apple's privacy policy applies to map data that Apple handles.

Deleting your data

Delete individual activities in the app, or all of them in Profile → Settings → Delete All Activities. Deleting the app removes everything RunTracker stored on your iPhone. You can remove the iCloud backup in the Settings app → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → RunTracker. Workouts saved to Apple Health can be deleted in the Health app.

Children

RunTracker does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
